Connecting to Jesus Christ |
- Acknowledge that you are sinful and need God’s unmerited, unending forgiveness (Romans 3:23).
- Believe that Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection was sufficient payment to provide forgiveness for your sin (Romans 10:9,10).
- Confess that Jesus Christ is the leader of your life (Romans 10:9,10).
It’s the last component that makes following Jesus a challenging task. When Jesus is the leader of your life, it means submitting to God’s will, not your own. However, when you commit your life His leadership and forgiveness, Jesus said that you are not alone. He will be with you through the power of His spirit.
